PSC Sets Local Public Hearing Schedule in Evergy Missouri West Rate Case
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold local public hearings starting on July 29, 2024, to receive customer comment in an electric rate case filed by Evergy Missouri West. There will be in-person and virtual local public hearings conducted by the Public Service Commission. The local public hearing schedule appears below.
July 29---St. Joseph. St. Joseph City Hall-Council Chambers, 1100 Frederick Ave.
The hearing starts at 6:00 p.m., beginning with a public information/question and answer session conducted by the PSC Staff, followed by the Commission receiving testimony from the public.
July 30—Lee’s Summit. Lee’s Summit North High School-Performing Arts Center, 901 NE Douglas.
The hearing starts at 6:00 p.m., beginning with a public information/question and answer session conducted by the PSC Staff, followed by the Commission receiving testimony from the public.
July 31—Sedalia. Sedalia City Hall-Council Chambers, 200 S. Osage Ave.

In order to ensure broad participation and the ability for every citizen to offer comments, comments made at public hearings may be time-limited.
These local public hearings will be held in facilities that meet the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. On February 2, 2024, Evergy Missouri West filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a net increase in its base rates of approximately $104.5 million.
Evergy Missouri West provides electric service to approximately 340,300 customers in the Missouri counties of Andrew, Atchison, Barton, Bates, Benton, Buchanan, Carroll, Cass, Cedar, Clay, Clinton, Dade, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Henry, Holt, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Pettis, Platte, Ray, St. Clair, Vernon and Worth.
