PSC Sets Local Public Hearing Schedule
in Missouri-American Water Company Rate Cases
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold local public hearings starting on January 17, 2023, to receive customer comment in water and sewer rate cases filed by the Missouri-American Water Company (MAWC). There will be in-person and virtual local public hearings conducted by the Public Service Commission. The local public hearing schedule appears below.
January 17—Virtual Local Public Hearing starts at Noon. See further details below*
January 18—Virtual Local Public Hearing starts at 6:00 p.m. See further details below*
January 19---Joplin. Missouri Southern State University, Robert Plaster Hall Auditorium, 3950 Newman Road.
The hearing starts at 6:00 p.m., beginning with a public information/question and answer session conducted by the PSC Staff, followed by the Commission receiving testimony from the public.
January 24—St. Joseph. Missouri Western State University, 4525 Downs Drive, Blum Union 218/219.
The hearing starts at 6:00 p.m., beginning with a public information/question and answer session conducted by the PSC Staff, followed by the Commission receiving testimony from the public.
January 25—St. Louis. St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley Student Center Multipurpose Room, 3400 Pershall Road.

5 p.m. the day before the hearing. Any person may comment at any of the hearings, but are encouraged to attend the hearing corresponding to the location nearest their service area for the most relevant information. Comments at all local public hearings will be limited to five minutes per person.

On July 1, 2022, MAWC filed water and sewer rate cases with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual water and sewer revenues by approximately $99.6 million (25.7%).
MAWC provides water service to approximately 474,000 customers in Missouri. It also provides sewer service to approximately 16,500 customers in the state.
