PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in Confluence Rivers Cases

JEFFERSON CITY---Confluence Rivers Utility Operating Company, Inc. (Confluence Rivers) has filed applications with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking authority to acquire and operate the currently non-Commission regulated water and sewer systems of Lake Sherwood Estates in Warren County. Confluence Rivers also seeks a certificate of convenience and necessity to construct, install, own, operate, maintain and manage the water and sewer systems of Lake Sherwood Estates, as an addition to its existing service territories.

According to the applications, Lake Sherwood Estates currently charges $13.65 per month for water with an additional $4.10 per additional 1,000 gallons used. Lake Sherwood Estates currently charges a fixed fee of $31.52 per month for wastewater. Confluence Rivers proposes to adopt the existing rates for Lake Sherwood Estates until such time as the rates are modified according to law.

Applications to intervene and participate in these cases must be filed no later than September 12, 2023, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0360, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at www.psc.mo.gov.

According to the applications, Confluence Rivers provides water service to approximately 5,200 customers and sewer service to approximately 5,100 customers in Missouri. Lake Sherwood Estates provides water and sewer services to approximately 500 residential connections (single family homes) in Warren County.
