JEFFERSON CITY---Confluence Rivers Utility Operating Company, Inc. (Confluence Rivers) has filed applications with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking authority to acquire and operate the currently non-Commission regulated sewer systems of Brussels Valley Estates, Inc. and Mapaville Meadows. In addition, Confluence Rivers seeks Commission authority to acquire and operate the currently non-Commission regulated water and sewer systems of Chevron/Sierra Land Company, LLC. Confluence Rivers also seeks certificates of convenience and necessity to operate these systems which are located in Lincoln, Morgan and Jefferson counties. According to the application, to provide service to the proposed areas, Confluence Rivers will purchase existing water and sewer systems and will not construct systems.
Confluence Rivers states it proposes to adopt the existing rates for each of the systems until such time as the rates are modified according to law. According to the applications, the current sewer rate for Mapaville Meadows is $50 per month and for Brussels Valley Estates, Inc. it is $32 a month. The current water rates for Chevron/Sierra Land Company, LLC is $27 per month for water up to a maximum of 3,000 gallons with $.90 per additional 100 gallons used. For sewer customers, the current rate is $47.50 a month.
Applications to intervene and participate in these cases must be filed no later than
July 25, 2023, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0360, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at

According to the application, Confluence Rivers provides water service to approximately 5,200 customers and sewer service to approximately 5,100 customers in Missouri. Brussels Valley Estates, Inc. serves approximately 13 sewer customers in Lincoln County. Chevron/Sierra Land Company, LLC provides water and sewer services to approximately 63 customers in the Johnson Bay Subdivision in Morgan County. Mapaville Meadows provides sewer service to approximately 9 customers in Jefferson County.
