PSC Sets Intervention Deadline
for Missouri-American WSIRA Rate Change Requests
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.---The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) has set an intervention deadline of
September 19, 2025, in an application from Missouri-American Water Company (Missouri-American) to establish a water and sewer infrastructure rate adjustment (WSIRA) surcharge.
On September 3, 2025, Missouri-American filed a request with the PSC to recover the costs of eligible infrastructure system project costs through implementation of a WSIRA. If approved, the WSIRA surcharge would increase Missouri-American revenues by 2.7% for affected water customer rate classes and by 0.9% for affected sewer customer rate classes. Missouri-American currently provides water service to approximately 486,000 customers and sewer service to approximately 24,000 customers in several counties throughout the state of Missouri.
Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Mo. 65102-0360, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at
