WHY IS A TOWN HALL MEETING SCHEDULED?
On June 24, 2026, the Missouri Public Service Commission (Commission) ordered its Staff to investigate the general operations of S. K. & M. Water and Sewer Company (S. K. & M.). The Commission’s Order instructs Commission Staff to file a status report with the Commission no later than July 30, 2026. As part of its investigation, the Staff of the Commission is holding this town hall meeting to hear directly from S. K. & M. customers about their experiences with the company.
WHO IS COMMISSION STAFF?
The Staff of the Missouri Public Service Commission (Staff) is an independent group of professional engineers, accountants, financial analysts, economists, customer experience specialists, attorneys and others that, among its responsibilities, performs investigations of regulated utilities.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE TOWN HALL?
The purpose of this meeting is to hear directly from you, the customer, about your experiences with S. K. & M. This is an important part of Staff’s investigation and the information collected will be used to inform the Commission. This is also an opportunity for S. K. & M. customers to interact directly with the Commission Staff so that any questions or concerns can be addressed.
IS THIS TOWN HALL PART OF A CURRENT RATE CASE INVOLVING S. K. & M.?
No. S. K. & M. has not requested a rate increase with the Commission. This meeting is being held as part of Staff’s fact-finding portion of its investigation.
