The legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was honored in a special way this year as volunteers from the Missouri Public Service Commission, The Empire District Electric Company and Missouri-American Water Company helped construct energy-efficient Habitat for Humanity housing in Joplin as part of a national program sponsored by the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC).
