Cape Girardeau Local Public Hearing Re-Scheduled

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has re-scheduled an inperson Cape Girardeau local public hearing which was originally scheduled for January 31, 2023, but was canceled due to hazardous weather conditions.

The Commission will now conduct the Cape Girardeau in-person local public hearing in an electric rate case filed by Union Electric Company d/b/a Ameren Missouri on February 23, 2023. The local public hearing will be held in the same location as the local public hearing scheduled for January 31, 2023. The local public hearing schedule appears below.
February 23—Cape Girardeau. Osage Community Centre, Room 1AB, 1625 N. Kingshighway.
The hearing starts at 6:00 p.m., beginning with a public information/question and answer session conducted by the PSC Staff, followed by the Commission receiving testimony from the public. Comments at the local public hearing will be limited to five minutes per person.
This local public hearing will be held in a facility that meets the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. On August 1, 2022, Ameren Missouri filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a net increase in its electric base rates of approximately $316 million. An average residential electric customer (using approximately 1,017 kilowatt-hours of electricity a month) would see a rate increase of approximately $12.00 a month according to the filing.

Ameren Missouri provides service to approximately 1.29 million electric customers in Missouri.
