PSC Staff Files Complaint Against Water and Sewer Provider
JEFFERSON CITY -- The staff of the Missouri Public Service Commission has filed a complaint against Cedar Green Land Acquisition, LLC and its owner alleging water and sewer services are being unlawfully provided to customers.
Staff claims the company is providing water and sewer services in a manner that makes it subject to Public Service Commission regulation and that the company has failed to obtain the appropriate approval from the Commission. Specifically, the PSC staff alleges Cedar Green Land Acquisition, LLC is providing water and sewer service to the Cedar Green Condominiums located near Camdenton, Missouri.
As part of the complaint, the PSC staff also alleges Cedar Green Land Acquisition, LLC failed to provide safe and adequate service to its customers. The complaint states that on or before February 21, 2012, Laclede Electric Cooperative arrived at the Cedar Green Luxury Condominium complex to shut off service to the three meters that supply electricity to the water and sewer facilities due to alleged non-payment. Staff alleges Cedar Green Land Acquisition, LLC failed to notify and inform affected customers of the situation. According to the complaint, a condominium resident paid Laclede Electric Cooperative to keep electric service from being turned off.
Cedar Green Land Acquisition, LLC has until September 26, 2012 to file a response to the complaint.
