PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in Liberty Water Application

JEFFERSON CITY---Liberty Utilities LLC (Liberty Water) has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking Commission approval of its acquisition of the water and sewer franchises and assets of the Lakeland Heights Water Company, the Oakbrier Water Company, R.D. Sewer Company LLC and the Whispering Hills Water System.

In its application, Liberty Water states that it proposes to continue to use the existing rates and service charges of the Lakeland Heights Water Company, the Oakbrier Water Company, R.D. Sewer Company LLC and the Whispering Hills Water System until such time as they are changed in a general rate case proceeding.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than February 25, 2020, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at www.psc.mo.gov.

The Lakeland Heights Water Company serves approximately 80 water customers in Wayne and Butler counties. The Oakbrier Water Company serves approximately 58 water customers in Butler County while the Whispering Hills Water System serves approximately 50 water customers in Wayne County. R.D. Sewer Company LLC serves approximately 113 sewer customers in Stoddard County. Liberty Water serves approximately 3,000 water and/or sewer customers in Missouri.
