JEFFERSON CITY---Confluence Rivers Utility Operating Company, Inc. (Confluence Rivers) has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a certificate of convenience and necessity (CCN) to install, own, acquire, operate and maintain a sewer system in Madison County. The requested CCN would allow Confluence Rivers to acquire the sewer assets of the Deer Run Estates Property Owner’s Association, an unregulated sewer system.

Confluence Rivers proposes to provide service to the proposed area by purchasing an existing sewer system. Confluence Rivers proposes to charge customers a flat sewer fee of $20.00 a month, consistent with the current charge in its DeGuire service area, until such time as rates are modified according to law.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than May 27, 2022, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0360, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at psc.mo.gov.

Confluence Rivers provides water service to approximately 4,389 customers and sewer service to approximately 4,548 customers in Missouri. The Deer Run Estates Property Owner’s Association currently has approximately 50 sewer customers.
