PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In
Missouri-American Water Company Water Case

JEFFERSON CITY---Missouri-American Water Company (MAWC) has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a certificate of convenience and necessity (CCN) to install, own, operate, manage and maintain a water system in an area of Camden County generally known as the Sunset Palms Condominium Complex.

According to the application, Sunset Palms Condominium Association, Inc. is the sole water and sewer customer. If this application is granted, MAWC states the local homeowners association will be MAWC’s only customer for both the water and sewer services provided. The association currently serves approximately 90 water and sewer customers. To provide service to the proposed area, MAWC states it will purchase a water distribution system and sewer system from Sunset Palms Development, LLC.

MAWC provides water service to approximately 457,300 customers in Missouri. It also provides sewer service to approximately 13,221 customers in the state.
