PSC Grants Timber Creek Sewer Company Request
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has granted a certificate of convenience and necessity (CCN) to Timber Creek Sewer Company (Timber Creek) to construct, own, operate, maintain and manage a sewer system in Clay County. The CCN authorizes Timber Creek to provide sewer service to a new subdivision known as the Oakridge Subdivision near Kearney, Missouri. The new service area is adjacent to one of Timber Creek’s existing service areas.
The Commission granted a CCN determining: 1) There is a need for the service; 2) Timber Creek is qualified to provide the proposed service; 3) Timber Creek has the financial ability to provide the service; 4) Timber Creek’s proposal is economically feasible; and 5) The service promotes the public interest.
“The Commission concludes that the factors for granting a certificate of convenience and necessity to Timber Creek have been satisfied and that it is in the public interest for Timber Creek to expand its certificated service area to the Oakridge subdivision,” said the Commission.
Timber Creek currently provides sewer service to approximately 2,171 customers in Platte and Clay counties in Missouri.
