PSC Grants Confluence Rivers Request

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a request filed by Confluence Rivers Utility Operating Company, Inc. (Confluence Rivers) to acquire the following water and/or sewer systems: Cedar Green Land Acquisition, LLC (water and sewer); The Missing Well, Inc. (water and sewer); Shelton Estates Sewer Company (sewer); Ozark Clean Water Company’s Spring Branch Subdivision (water); Prairie Heights, LLC-Sullivan (sewer); and Clemstone Sewer District of Platte County (sewer). Confluence Rivers has also been granted certificates of convenience and necessity (CCNs) to install, own, acquire, operate and maintain the above water and/or sewer systems in Camden, Benton, Clay, Pettis and Platte counties.

The Commission approved the application determining: 1) There is a need for the service; 2) Confluence Rivers is qualified to provide the proposed service; 3) Confluence Rivers has the financial ability to provide the service; 4) Confluence Rivers’ proposal is economically feasible; and 5) The service promotes the public interest.

Cedar Green Land Acquisition, LCC provides water and sewer service to approximately 54 customers in Camden County. The Missing Well, Inc. provides water and sewer service to approximately 73 customers in Benton County. Shelton Estates Sewer Company provides sewer service to approximately 20 customers in Clay County. The Ozark Clean Water Company’s Spring Branch Subdivision provides water service to approximately 131 customers in Benton County. Prairie Heights, LLC-Sullivan provides sewer service to approximately 19 customers in Pettis County. Clemstone Sewer District of Platte County provides sewer service to approximately 75 customers in Platte County.

Confluence Rivers provides water service to approximately 2,440 customers and sewer service to approximately 2,102 customers in Missouri.
