PSC Approves Agreement in Raytown Water Company Rate Case
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved an agreement in a water rate case filed by The Raytown Water Company, which authorizes the company to increase annual water operating revenues by approximately $482,575, effective for service on and after September 8, 2020.
When The Raytown Water Company filed its water rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission on March 2, 2020, it sought to increase annual water operating revenues by approximately $663,332.
The agreement approved by the Commission was submitted by the Staff of the Missouri Public Service Commission, the Office of the Public Counsel and The Raytown Water Company. The Office of the Public Counsel (OPC) is a separate state agency which represents the general public in cases before the Commission.
Under the agreement, a residential customer using 4,000 gallons of water a month will see the water rate increase from $39.75 a month to $45.18 a month.
The Raytown Water Company provides water service to approximately 6,582 customers in Jackson County in and around Raytown, Missouri.
