On November 14, 2016, the Stockton Hills Water Company filed a water rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual water operating revenues by approximately $45,236. Stockton Hills Water Company stated it was seeking a rate increase to recover expenses associated with construction of a new well, installation of a back-up generator, a safety climbing cable, and security fence, as well as increases in operation and maintenance costs such as insurance.

Under the small rate case process, the Public Service Commission Staff (PSC Staff) audits the books and records of the company. After the audit, the PSC Staff shares its audit review as well as its initial recommendation for resolution of the rate request with OPC and the Stockton Hills Water Company.

Based upon discussions between the PSC Staff, OPC and the Stockton Hills Water Company, the PSC Staff and the water company have reached an agreement which would increase the annual water operating revenues of the company by approximately $10,117.
