PSC Approves United Way of Greater Kansas City, Inc. 211 Request
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a request filed by United Way of Greater Kansas City, Inc. f/k/a The Heart of America United Way, Inc. to continue as an information and referral provider for purposes of 211 service.
In an October 7, 2022 filing, the Public Service Commission Staff recommended the application be approved.
“The Commission has reviewed the application and Staff’s recommendation, and determines that the requested relief should be granted,” said the Commission.
211 is a central telephone number connecting people with available community resources and volunteer opportunities. United Way of Greater Kansas City, Inc. f/k/a The Heart of America United Way, Inc. serves 16 Missouri counties: Andrew, Bates, Buchanan, Caldwell, Cass, Clay, Clinton, DeKalb, Henry, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, Platte, Ray and Saline.
