PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in Vicinity Energy Kansas City Case

JEFFERSON CITY---Vicinity Energy Kansas City, Inc. (Vicinity) has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to revise its Production Adjustment Cost Clause (PACC) rates for steam service. Vicinity seeks to adjust customer rates for changes in PACC production costs experienced between January and December 2023.

Under the filing, customer base rates would remain the same, but the PACC charge will decrease to $1.16 per Mlb (per 1,000 pounds of steam) instead of the current charge of $7.53 per Mlb, starting in April 2024. The PACC appears as a separate line item on steam customer bills.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than February 15, 2024, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at www.psc.mo.gov.

Vicinity provides steam service to approximately 46 customers in Jackson County.
