PSC Sets Intervention Deadline
For Vicinity Energy Tariff Approval Request
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.---The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) has set an intervention deadline of February 13, 2026, in the Vicinity Energy Kansas City Inc. (Vicinity) request for approval of its proposed tariff sheet to adjust its Production Adjustment Cost Clause (PACC). The proposed tariff has an effective date of April 1, 2026.
On January 30, 2026, Vicinity filed testimony requesting the Commission to approve its proposed tariff sheet. Vicinity’s PACC became effective on January 1, 2015. With that, Vicinity is obligated to file annual rate adjustments, with an option to file semi-annual filings, to reflect 95% of the changes to its production costs. This tariff filing makes an adjustment to customer rates, reflecting the production costs experienced during the January 2025 – December 2025 time period.
Vicinity is located in Kansas City, Missouri, and provides steam and chilled water to downtown Kansas City.
Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Mo. 65102-0360, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at psc.mo.gov.
