PSC Approves Change in Steam Rate for Veolia Energy
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved tariff sheets filed by Veolia Energy Kansas City, Inc. (Veolia) which revise its Production Adjustment Cost Clause (PACC) rates for steam service. Veolia sought to adjust customer rates for changes in PACC production costs experienced between January and December 2017.
Under the filing, customer rates will decrease by approximately $0.16412 per Mlb (per 1,000 pounds of steam), starting on April 1, 2018. The PACC appears as a separate line item on steam customer bills.
Veolia states the reduction is primarily driven by decreases in the cost of fuel as well as continued implementation of system efficiencies.
Veolia Energy Kansas City, Inc. provides steam service to approximately 48 customers in Jackson County.
