PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in Spire Case
JEFFERSON CITY---Spire Missouri, Inc. d/b/a Spire has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking approval of a Carbon Offset Initiative.
Spire states in the application that the program will provide customers the opportunity to voluntarily purchase a combination of environmental attributes to offset a portion of or all the carbon emissions from their natural gas usage. The specific environmental attributes, according to the application, are Renewable Thermal Certificates, which are renewable natural gas specific environmental attributes, and Verified Carbon Offsets.
According to the application, Spire seeks to offer the program to Residential and Small General Service customers that meet certain eligibility requirements.
Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than
December 11, 2023, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at
www.psc.mo.gov.
