PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in Liberty Utilities Natural Gas Filing

JEFFERSON CITY---Liberty Utilities has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking approval of a PVC pipe replacement program and recovery of associated costs through the natural gas company’s Infrastructure System Replacement Surcharge (ISRS). The ISRS first appeared on customer bills in November 2008.

According to the filing, Liberty Utilities is asking the Commission to approve a ten-year replacement program for approximately 64.5 miles of PVC pipe that remains in the company’s Missouri natural gas distribution system. Liberty Utilities also requests the Commission determine that the costs to implement the company’s PVC replacement program be eligible for recovery through the company’s ISRS mechanism if all other requirements for a proper ISRS filing are satisfied.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than October 31, 2018, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at www.psc.mo.gov.

Individual citizens wishing to comment should contact either the Office of the Public Counsel (Governor Office Building, 200 Madison Street, Suite 650, P.O. Box 2230, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-2230, telephone 1-866-922-2959, email opcservice@ded.mo.gov) or the Public Service Commission Staff (P.O.
