PSC Approves Roeslein Alternative Energy Services Application
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved an application filed by Roeslein Alternative Energy Services, LLC (RAES) which grants a permanent waiver of the requirement under a Commission rule that sets a design pressure limit of 100 psig for polyethylene pipe with a design factor (DF) of 0.40. RAES requested to upgrade the maximum allowable operating pressure to 125 psig for an existing pipeline in Mercer County.
On November 30, 2022, the Public Service Commission Staff (Staff) recommended the application be approved with conditions. On December 2, 2022, RAES filed a response in which it stated that it had no objection to the conditions Staff had recommended.
“The Commission has reviewed RAES’s Application and Staff’s recommendation and finds that a grant of a permanent waiver of Commission Rule 20 CSR 4240-40.030(3)(I)3.B.(I), subject to the conditions recommended by Staff, will not compromise gas safety,” said the Commission. “The Commission will grant the requested waiver.”
