PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In Missouri Gas Energy Infrastructure Surcharge Request
JEFFERSON CITY---Missouri Gas Energy, a division of Laclede Gas Company (MGE), has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to adjust the infrastructure system replacement surcharge (ISRS) on the bills of its natural gas customers. The surcharge first appeared on customer bills in April 2004.
MGE is seeking the adjustment to reflect infrastructure replacement investments made by the natural gas company since January 2014. These costs for natural gas pipeline replacements and relocations are not currently included in MGE’s rates.
The current ISRS for residential customers of MGE is $0.00 a month. The current ISRS was set to zero when the PSC decided MGE’s last general rate case in May 2014. Residential customers would pay an ISRS of $0.42 a month under MGE’s proposal.
Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than August 13, 2014,
with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at www.psc.mo.gov
MGE provides natural gas service to approximately 500,000 customers in Missouri.
