The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) is announcing local public hearings starting on November 16, 2026, to receive customer comments on a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) request from Evergy Metro, Inc., d/b/a Evergy Missouri Metro, and Evergy Missouri West, Inc., d/b/a Evergy Missouri West.

There will be one in-person public hearing and two virtual public hearings.

On August 31, 2026, Evergy filed an application with the Commission requesting permission and approval to construct a 710-megawatt (MW) combined-cycle gas turbine electric generating plant, known as the Buchanan Bluffs Energy Center Unit 2, in Buchanan County, Missouri. Evergy also seeks permission to construct a 109-MW battery energy storage system, known as the Foxtrot BESS Project, in Jasper County, Missouri.

The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) is announcing local public hearings starting on November 18, 2026, to receive customer comments on a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) request from Union Electric Company, d/b/a Ameren Missouri.

There wlll be one in-person public hearing and one virtual public hearing.

On July 24, 2026, Ameren Missouri filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission requesting permission and approval and a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity for a 2,100-megawatt (MW) natural gas-fired electric generation facility. The facility will consist of three advanced-class combined cycle units to be located at the site of Ameren Missouri’s existing Sioux Energy Center in West Alton, Missouri (St. Charles County).

Missouri-American Water Rate Case - WR-2026-0304

The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) is announcing local public hearings starting on December 1, 2026, to receive customer comments on a general rate increase request filed by Missouri-American Water Company for water and sewer service in its Missouri service areas.

On July 1, 2026, Missouri-American Water Company filed tariff sheets with the Commission seeking a net increase in annual base rate revenues of approximately $191.9 million, which it states will equate to a water bill increase of approximately $23.00 per month for an average customer in St. Louis County using 5,900 gallons per month and approximately $15.00 per month for an average customer outside of St. Louis County using 4,500 gallons per month.

There will be five in-person public hearings and two virtual public hearings offering opportunity for the public to ask questions to the parties in the case and provide testimony to the Commission.
