PSC Approves Agreement Reached In Lincoln County Sewer & Water Certificate Cases
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved an agreement between the PSC staff, the Office of the Public Counsel and Lincoln County Sewer & Water, LLC (LCSW) which grants certificates of public convenience and necessity (CCNs) authorizing the company to provide water and sewer service in Lincoln County near Troy, Missouri. Specifically the company sought Commission authority to provide water and sewer service to an area including two existing developments (Rockport and Bennington).
Under the agreement, unmetered flat rate water for residential customers in Bennington will be $26.72 a month and $39.80 a month for Rockport residential customers. For Bennington residential customers, the metered customer charge will be $15.10 a month with a metered commodity charge of $3.45 per 1,000 gallons. For Rockport residential customers, the metered customer charge will be $13.91 a month with a metered commodity charge of $5.57 per 1,000 gallons. Flat rates for water service apply to customers without meters. After a meter is installed, the metered rate would apply.
Bennington residential sewer customers will pay a flat rate of $39.39 a month while Rockport residential sewer customers will pay a flat rate of $34.07 a month for sewer service.
“Based on the Commission’s independent and impartial review of the verified filings, the Commission finds and concludes that all legal requirements for approving the requested transfer of assets and granting the requested CCNs have been satisfied. The Commission further finds and concludes that it is in the public interest for LCSW to provide water and sewer service to the customers currently being served in the Rockport and Bennington developments subject to the conditions set forth in the Agreement,” said the Commission.
The combined water and sewer systems serve approximately 112 residential customers.
