PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in Territorial Agreement Case

JEFFERSON CITY---The Empire District Electric Company d/b/a Liberty (Empire) and White River Valley Electric Cooperative (White River) have filed a joint application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking Commission approval of a second amendment to a sixth territorial agreement between the two electric providers.

According to the application, the proposed amendment concerns a service area within the Rainbow Shoals subdivision in Taney County. The applicants have specifically designated the boundaries of an exclusive electric service area within the Rainbow Shoals subdivision. The application states the agreement does not require the transfer of any facilities or customers between the applicants.

The original sixth territorial agreement between Empire and White River was approved by the Public Service Commission in an order issued on June 10, 2009 (Case No. EO-2009-0284).

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than December 1, 2021, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at psc.mo.gov.
