PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in Territorial Agreement Case

JEFFERSON CITY---Evergy Missouri West, Inc. d/b/a Evergy Missouri West (Evergy) and the City of Higginsville (Higginsville) have filed a joint application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking approval of an electric territorial agreement between the two in which Higginsville will serve as the electric provider in an area immediately adjacent to Higginsville’s city limits and acquire Evergy’s two customers in that area. According to the application, both customers have agreed to change electric service providers.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than June 5, 2021, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0360, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at psc.mo.gov.

Evergy Missouri West provides electric service to approximately 347,400 customers in the Missouri counties of Andrew, Atchison, Barton, Bates, Benton, Buchanan, Carroll, Cass, Cedar, Clay, Clinton, Dade, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Henry, Holt, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Pettis, Platte, Ray, St. Clair, Vernon and Worth.
