Kansas City Power & Light Company (KCP&L) has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to adjust the fuel and purchased power adjustment charge (FAC) on the bills of its electric customers.
KCP&L has made two filings. In its first filing (Case No. ER-2019-0031), KCP&L proposes to adjust the FAC to reflect fuel and purchased power costs for the six month period January through June 2018. The second case is KCP&L’s true-up filing (Case No. ER-2019-0032). Under the filings by KCP&L, for a residential customer using 1,000 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity a month, the FAC will increase by approximately $0.60 a month, from approximately $4.95 a month to approximately $5.55 a month. The proposed change would take effect on October 1, 2018.
Applications to intervene and participate in these cases must be filed no later than August 16, 2018
