Evergy Metro, Inc. d/b/a Evergy Missouri Metro and Evergy Missouri West, Inc. d/b/a Evergy Missouri West have filed a joint application with the Missouri Public Service Commission requesting a variance from the Commission’s billing and payment standards. Both companies want a waiver from the Commission requirement for residential bills to state the beginning and ending meter readings for customers who choose to use Time of Use (TOU) rates. The waiver is being sought because, according to the joint applicants, those meter reads are not relevant to the bill under a TOU rate.
