PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in
Evergy Missouri West Fuel Adjustment Charge Cases

JEFFERSON CITY---Evergy Missouri West, Inc. d/b/a Evergy Missouri West (formerly KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company) has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to adjust the fuel adjustment charge (FAC) on the bills of its electric customers.

Evergy Missouri West has made two filings. In its first filing (Case No. ER-2020-0421), Evergy Missouri West proposes to adjust the FAC to reflect fuel and purchased power costs for the six month period of December 2019 through May 2020. The second case is Evergy Missouri West’s true-up filing (Case No. EO-2020-0420).

According to the filings, a residential customer using 1,000 kWh a month will see the monthly FAC charge decrease by approximately $1.77 a month, from a current FAC of approximately $1.75 a month to a bill credit of approximately $0.02 a month. The proposed change would take effect in September.

Applications to intervene and participate in these cases must be filed no later than July 15, 2020, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O.
