PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in Evergy Missouri Metro Rate Case

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has established the deadline for those wishing to intervene and participate in an electric rate case filed by Evergy Missouri Metro, Inc. d/b/a Evergy Missouri Metro.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than February 11, 2022, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at psc.mo.gov.

The Office of the Public Counsel is a separate state agency that represents the general public in matters before the Commission.

On January 7, 2022, Evergy Missouri Metro filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a net increase in its electric base rates of approximately $43.9 million, an increase of 5.2%.

Evergy Missouri Metro serves approximately 292,700 electric customers in the Missouri counties of Carroll, Cass, Chariton, Clay, Howard, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Pettis, Platte, Randolph and Saline.
