PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in
Evergy Missouri Metro Fuel Adjustment Clause Cases

JEFFERSON CITY---Evergy Metro, Inc. d/b/a Evergy Missouri Metro has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to adjust the fuel adjustment clause (FAC) charge on the bills of its electric customers.

Evergy Missouri Metro made two filings. In its first filing (Case No. ER-2024-0221), Evergy Missouri Metro proposes to adjust the FAC to reflect fuel and purchased power costs, net of offsystem sales revenues incurred by the Company from July through December 2023. The second case is Evergy Missouri Metro’s true-up filing (Case No. EO-2024-0220).

According to the filings, a residential customer using 1,000 kWh a month will see the monthly FAC charge drop from approximately $1.26 a month to an FAC charge of approximately $0.15 a month, a decrease of approximately $1.11 a month. Evergy Missouri Metro proposes the change take effect on April 1, 2024.
