JEFFERSON CITY---Evergy Missouri Metro and Evergy Missouri West (Evergy) have filed applications with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking Commission approval of a Missouri Energy Efficiency Investment Act (MEEIA) plan.
Evergy is seeking approval of certain demand-side programs and a Demand-Side Investment Mechanism (DSIM). This is Evergy’s fourth MEEIA related program filing (MEEIA Cycle 4).
Applications to intervene and participate in these cases must be filed no later than
June 11, 2024, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at
www.psc.mo.gov.

MEEIA was passed by the Missouri legislature and signed into law in August of 2009. The purpose of MEEIA is to encourage investor-owned electric utilities to develop and implement demand-side management programs, which are commonly called energy efficiency programs or demand response programs.
Evergy Missouri West provides electric service to approximately 340,300 customers in the Missouri counties of Andrew, Atchison, Barton, Bates, Benton, Buchanan, Carroll, Cass, Cedar, Clay, Clinton, Dade, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Henry, Holt, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Pettis, Platte, Ray, St. Clair, Vernon and Worth.
Evergy Missouri Metro provides electric service to approximately 303,500 customers in the Missouri counties of Carroll, Cass, Chariton, Clay, Howard, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Pettis, Platte, Randolph and Saline.
