PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in Ameren Missouri Gas Plant CCN Case

JEFFERSON CITY---Union Electric Company d/b/a Ameren Missouri has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a certificate of convenience and necessity (CCN) authorizing Ameren Missouri to construct, install, own, operate, maintain and otherwise control and manage a Simple Cycle Gas Plant in St. Louis County (the “Castle Bluff Project”). According to the filing, the Castle Bluff Project is an approximately 800 megawatt (“MW”) multi-unit simple cycle natural gas electric generation facility with fuel oil backup capability to be constructed at Ameren Missouri’s former Meramec Energy Center. It would connect to Ameren Missouri’s 138kV transmission system via the repurposing of the existing switchyard at the facility.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than June 27, 2024, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at www.psc.mo.gov.
