PSC Sets Intervention Deadline in Ameren Missouri CCN Requests

 
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.---  The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) set an intervention deadline of June 12, 2026 , in a case filed by Union Electric Company d/b/a Ameren Missouri seeking Certificates of Convenience and Necessity (CCNs) to construct, own and operate three battery energy storage system (BESS) facilities, two solar generation facilities, and related transmission and associated facilities.

Specifically, Ameren Missouri seeks authority for:
  • A 95 megawatt (MW) BESS facility to be constructed at the now-retired Meramec coal-fired facility;
  • A 200 MW BESS facility to be constructed at the site of the Company’s Audrain Energy Center;
  • A 250 MW BESS facility to be constructed in Lincoln County, Missouri;
  • A 161 kilovolt (kV) switching station to be constructed in Lincoln County, Missouri;
  • A 175 MW solar generation facility to be constructed in Audrain County, Missouri; and
  • A 225 MW solar generation facility to be constructed in Stoddard County, Missouri.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at www.psc.mo.gov .
