PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Fuel Adjustment Charge Cases
JEFFERSON CITY---KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company (GMO) has filed a request (Case No. ER-2013-0341) with the Missouri Public Service Commission to adjust the fuel adjustment clause (FAC) charge on the bills of its electric customers to reflect fuel and purchased power costs during the six month period beginning March 1, 2013.
According to the company, the requested change will decrease a typical residential customer’s bill by approximately $2.60 a month in the company’s L&P rate area (St. Joseph) and decrease a typical residential customer’s bill by approximately $0.52 a month in the company’s MPS rate area (Kansas City).
The proposed FAC charge adjustments also reflect the company’s annual FAC true-up (Case No. ER-2013-0340). In that filing, KCP&L-GMO states the true-up reflects an under collection of approximately $103,000 for the territory served as MPS and an under collection of approximately $2,000 for the territory served as L&P.
Applications to intervene and participate in these cases must be filed no later than January 9, 2013, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102.
KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company serves approximately 312,700 electric customers in Missouri.
