PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In Electric Transmission Cases
JEFFERSON CITY---Transource Missouri, L.L.C. (Transource) has filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking Commission authority and a certificate of public convenience and necessity to construct, own and maintain two regional, high-voltage electric transmission projects (the Iatan-Nashua 345 kV transmission project and the Sibley-Nebraska City 345 kV transmission project) in Missouri.
According to the application, the two regional transmission projects have been approved by Southwest Power Pool, Inc. (SPP) to provide regional benefits to Missouri and the entire Mid-America region.
Kansas City Power & Light Company and KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company have also filed an application with the Commission seeking authority to transfer, at cost, certain transmission property to Transource in relation to the Iatan-Nashua and Sibley-Nebraska City transmission projects.
Applications to intervene and participate in these cases must be filed no later than September 28, 2012, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s electronic filing and information service (EFIS).
