PSC Sets Hearing Schedule in Great Plains Energy Merger Case

 
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has announced the hearing schedule in a merger case filed by Great Plains Energy (GPE).
 

Formal evidentiary hearings are scheduled for April 5-7, 2017, in Room 310 of the Governor Office Building, 200 Madison Street, Jefferson City. The Governor Office Building meets accessibility standards required by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Any person who needs specific accessibility accommodations may call the Public Service Commission’s hotline at 1-800-392-4211 (voice) or Relay Missouri at 711 prior to the hearings.
 

As directed by the Missouri Public Service Commission in an order issued on February 22, 2017, GPE filed an application with the Public Service Commission on February 23, 2017, seeking Commission approval of a transaction in which GPE would acquire 100% of the stock of Westar Energy, Inc. GPE is the holding company for Kansas City Power & Light Company and KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company (GMO).
