PSC Approves Change to KCP&L-GMO Fuel Adjustment Charge
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a request filed by KCP&L-Greater Missouri Operations Company (GMO) to change the fuel adjustment charge (FAC) on the monthly bills of its electric customers.
The FAC change reflects fuel and purchased power costs during the six month period of June 2017 through November 2017 (Case No. ER-2018-0180). It also reflects the company’s FAC true-up (Case No. ER-2018-0181).
For a residential customer using 1,000 kWh a month, the FAC will increase by approximately $0.80 a month, from approximately $0.46 a month to $1.26 a month. The change in the FAC will take effect on March 1, 2018.
GMO provides electric service to approximately 320,500 customers in Andrew, Atchison, Barton, Bates, Benton, Buchanan, Carroll, Cass, Cedar, Clay, Clinton, Dade, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Henry, Holt, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Pettis, Platte, Ray, St. Clair, Vernon and Worth counties.
