PSC Approves Agreement in Ameren Missouri
Pilot Subscriber Solar Program

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has granted a certificate of convenience and necessity (CCN) to Ameren Missouri to build a solar facility under a pilot subscriber solar program.

Pursuant to an agreement approved by the Commission, the solar project will be developed on land owned by the City of St. Louis at the St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Ameren Missouri has secured a lease for use of this land. The project will be a single megawatt (1 MW) facility to be constructed after Ameren Missouri has received customer subscriptions totaling 1 MW.

Ameren Missouri will require a Solar Participation fee for all customers enrolling in the pilot until it has received enough subscriptions to construct the full 1 MW facility. Under the agreement, Ameren Missouri’s capital investment for the facility is capped at $3 million.

The Commission granted a CCN determining: 1) There was a need for the service; 2) Ameren Missouri is qualified to provide the proposed service; 3) Ameren Missouri has the financial ability to provide the service; 4) Ameren Missouri’s proposal is economically feasible; and 5) The service promotes the public interest.

Ameren Missouri serves approximately 1.26 million electric customers in Missouri.
