PSC Approves Addendum to Electric Territorial Agreement

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a joint application filed by Union Electric Company d/b/a Ameren Missouri and Consolidated Electric Cooperative amending an electric territorial agreement between the two electric service providers first approved by the Commission in August of 1997 (Case No. EO-97-493).

According to the application, the territory subject to the addendum concerns two customers located wholly within the service territory of Ameren Missouri in Audrain County near Mexico, Missouri.

The Public Service Commission Staff filed its recommendation in this case on November 29, 2023. In it, the PSC Staff agrees with the Joint Applicants that approval of the addendum to the territorial agreement is not detrimental to the public interest in that it makes the most efficient use of the existing electric facilities and prevents an otherwise necessary duplication of facilities if Ameren Missouri were to provide electric service to those two customers. Staff recommended the joint application be approved.

Based upon a review of the joint application and the PSC Staff recommendation, the Commission has approved the addendum to the electric territorial agreement between Ameren Missouri and Consolidated Electric Cooperative.
