PSC Approves Addendum To Electric Territorial Agreement
JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved an addendum to an electric territorial agreement between Union Electric Company d/b/a Ameren Missouri (Ameren Missouri) and Farmers’ Electric Cooperative (Farmers).
In its application, Ameren Missouri and Farmers proposed to amend an existing territorial agreement between the two entities which was approved by the Commission in September 1998. Commission approval of the addendum would allow a single residential structure located at CR 412 in Mooresville, Missouri, owned by Beetsma Farms, Inc., to receive electric service from Farmers even though the structure is located within Ameren Missouri’s exclusive service area.
On October 2, 2013, the PSC Staff filed its recommendation that the addendum to the territorial agreement be approved.
“Based on the information provided in the application and Staff’s recommendation, the Commission finds the proposed addendum is in the public interest,” said the Commission.
