Intervention Deadline Set in Evergy Missouri Metro Rate Case 

 
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.---The Missouri Public Service Commission has established the deadline for those wishing to intervene and participate in an electric rate case filed by Evergy Metro, Inc. d/b/a Evergy Missouri Metro.


Applications to intervene and participate in the electric rate case must be filed no later than February 27, 2026, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s Electronic Filing and Information System (EFIS) at psc.mo.gov.

On February 6, 2026, Evergy Missouri Metro filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking a revenue increase of approximately $137.9 million. Under state law, Evergy Missouri Metro was required to file a rate case due to its use of the fuel adjustment clause, under which authority for such adjustments expires after four years pursuant to

As filed, this rate request does not include any costs associated with serving data centers in the Kansas City area.

Evergy Missouri Metro serves approximately 313,000 customers in Missouri including parts of the Kansas City metro area, Marshall, Salisbury and Carrollton. This request does not impact customers of Evergy Missouri West, which serves St. Joseph, Liberty, Platte City, Warrensburg and other areas.
