PR-11-35 -- PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In 211 Application Case

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- SEPTEMBER 10, 2010

JEFFERSON CITY---The United Way of Greater Kansas City, Inc. f/k/a The Heart of America United Way, Inc. has filed a re-application with the Missouri Public Service Commission for Continuing Authority as an Information and Referral Provider for purposes of  211 service.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case should be filed no later than October 9, 2010, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0360.

United Way 2-1-1 helps people find and give help. It is an easy-to-remember central phone number connecting people with available community resources and volunteer opportunities. It serves 16 counties in Missouri: Andrew, Bates, Buchanan, Caldwell, Cass, Clay, Clinton, DeKalb, Henry, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Platte, Pettis, Ray and Saline.
