PR-10-109 -- PSC Issues Internal Report on November 10, 2009 Incident

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- JANUARY 6, 2009

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission today released its internal report on the events that occurred on November 10, 2009. The report focuses on the lockdown of the Governor Office Building following a call to local police. The building serves as the Commission’s Jefferson City headquarters.

PSC Chairman Robert M. Clayton III said the report revealed that all Commission procedures were followed and that PSC employees responded in a professional manner. He also praised the efforts of law enforcement.

"I want to again express my sincere thanks to the various law enforcement agencies for their quick response to ensure the safety of our employees," Clayton said. "The report will be a helpful tool and provide valuable lessons learned so we can be better prepared."
