PR-09-137 -- MEDIA ADVISORY: Statement From PSC Chairman Robert Clayton On The Transition To Digital Television

Contact: Kevin Kelly (573) 751-9300

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- JANUARY 30, 2009

JEFFERSON CITY— “Missourians need to be prepared for the switch from analog to digital broadcasts on February 17th,” said PSC Chairman Robert M. Clayton III.  “If your television set isn’t capable of receiving a digital signal, you will not be able to get the channels you want to watch.  Your television may need a converter box.  If you aren’t ready for the switch to digital, you need to act quickly.  Time is running out,” Clayton said.
