PR-12-87 -- PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In Kansas City Power & Light And KCP&L-GMO Request

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- JANUARY 4, 2012

JEFFERSON CITY---Kansas City Power & Light Company and KCP&L-Greater Missouri Operations Company have filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking an Accounting Authority Order (AAO) that would allow the companies to undertake certain accounting procedures in connection with their electric operations in relation to the costs of complying with Missouri’s Renewable Energy Standard Law.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than January 23, 2012, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102, or by using the Commission’s electronic filing and information service (EFIS).
