PR-12-107 -- PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In Ameren Missouri Electric Rate Case

JEFFERSON CITY---The Missouri Public Service Commission has established the deadline for those wishing to intervene and participate in an electric rate case filed by Ameren Missouri.
Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than February 23, 2012, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0360.
The Office of the Public Counsel is a separate state agency that represents the general public in matters before the Commission. Individual citizens wishing to comment should contact either the Office of the Public Counsel (Governor Office Building, 200 Madison Street, Suite 650, P.O. Formal evidentiary hearings are scheduled for September 24-28, 2012 and October 1-5, 2012. These hearings will be held in Room 310 of the Governor Office Building, 200 Madison Street, Jefferson City. The Governor Office Building meets accessibility standards required by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Recommendations regarding the scheduling of local public hearings are to be filed with the Commission no later than March 13, 2012.
On February 3, 2012, Ameren Missouri filed an electric rate case with the Missouri Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual electric revenues by approximately $375.6 million (14.6%). If approved, the average residential electric bill would increase by approximately $14 a month (based on approximately 1,100 kilowatt-hours of usage per month).
Ameren Missouri provides electric service to approximately 1.2 million customers in Missouri.
