PR-11-63 -- PSC Sets Intervention Deadline In Ameren Missouri Case

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- NOVEMBER 4, 2010

JEFFERSON CITY---Union Electric Company d/b/a Ameren Missouri has filed a pleading with the Missouri Public Service Commission asking the Commission to extend its authority to continue the transfer of functional control of its electric transmission system to the Midwest Independent Transmission System Operator, Inc. (Midwest ISO) through December 31, 2013. 

In 2004, the Public Service Commission approved an agreement which granted the electric company the authority to transfer functional control of its electric transmission system to the Midwest ISO.  An extension of that authority was approved by the Public Service Commission in 2008.

Applications to intervene and participate in this case must be filed no later than November 24, 2010, with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri 65102-0360.

Ameren Missouri provides electric service to approximately 1.2 million electric customers in Missouri.
